My 2024 recap

What a Year: A Year to Remember

What a year! 2024 has truly been one for the books! Like many others, I created my very first vision board last year, and I’m thrilled to say that it worked wonders. I accomplished more this year than in probably any other, and along the way, I found myself happier and healthier than ever. Here’s a month-by-month recap of the amazing moments that made this year so special. It truly was a year to remember!

February
I visited one of my favorite spots in Minnesota, the stunning Como Conservatory.

March
We received exciting news: the dog we wanted a puppy from was pregnant! Later that month, I traveled to Denver to catch up with friends and revisit some of our favorite spots from when we lived there.

April
This month was full of firsts! I went to my first concert at US Bank Stadium to see Lainey Wilson and Chris Stapleton, celebrated my 28th birthday, and enjoyed more trail walks with Waffles while listening to The Tortured Poets Department on repeat.

I broke the big news to Waffles: he was going to be a big brother! We also celebrated Mother’s Day with my mom.

June
The highlight of the year arrived—we welcomed our new puppy, Tacoma! I also returned to US Bank Stadium for a Noah Kahan concert. Halfway through the year and I can’t believe how much I already accomplished!

July
This month was all about trying new things. I made more charcuterie boards than ever and signed up for Jiu Jitsu classes!

Not pretty–but delicious!

August
An unforgettable 11 day trip to Alaska kicked off the month. We also found out that our offer on a house had been approved! (I don’t want to post our actual house, so here is my face when we got the phone call we were going to be homeowners!) The rest of August was filled with state park hikes and excitement for the future.

September
I checked off a few more firsts: attending my first WNBA game (Lynx vs. Sky) and going to my first Vikings game (even though I’m not a fan, it’s hard to pass up a close-to-home opportunity). I also started my 6th year of teaching—a milestone I’m proud of.

October
This month was bittersweet. I said goodbye to my grandpa, welcomed my beautiful new niece, Lily, and moved into our first home. We celebrated the season with our annual trip to a local apple orchard.

November
Starting the month off, I attended the Eras Tour, a concert I’ll never forget! This will be something I will never stop talking about how amazing of an experience it was seeing Taylor after being a fan for 18 years!  I also soaked up more time with my sweet niece and felt thankful for so many wonderful memories this year.

December
The year wrapped up with so many joyful moments. We celebrated our first Christmas in our new home and Tacoma’s very first Christmas! I enjoyed brewing endless cups of coffee with my new espresso machine, attended my first Timberwolves/Warriors game to watch Steph Curry play, and launched my very own business by creating my own Paw Balm. To top it all off, I cheered for the Packers at US Bank Stadium!

Looking back, I’m truly blessed to have experienced so many new adventures, explored beautiful places, and seen some incredible musical artists. I also cherished meaningful time with family and welcomed Tacoma into our lives—a year of unforgettable magic. What a year!
